It's no good having 2 gun wingers if you don't have decent specialist centres who know how to create space for the man outside him.

I have never been a fan of playing wingers in the centre except when injuries strike mid-match and there is no other option.

The reason wingers want to play in the centres seems to be the extra salary the position gets. Most of them don't have the skillset to adjust.

A lot of wingers mis read in defence which causes chaos if they play further In. A lot of them wouldn't pass the ball. Eg Reimis Smith, although it looks like Bellamy has improved that part of his game.

If I think back over the years, there are 2 players who successfully transitioned from wing to centre, JMOZ and Timana Tahu.
Turbo Tom?
Nigel Vagana?
Michael Jennings?

But if he stayed I don’t think ww would have signed flanno so even if he missed half the season it would have been half a season more of a quality half on the field than what we had, still no kicking game but actually engaging defenders would have been nice to see
We were always signing Flanno mate. Baz had said that even before the offer to Foran was pulled.

That’s on Baz. He clearly made a bad signing.

As long as we re invest into to a more pivotal player which I feel we’re using his money for Mahoney i can’t argue with it. Though addo car on one side and cotric on the other would be the best duo in the comp.

Kieran Foran ?

How the hell did Manly repair him back to workable state?

Him alongside Burton would have been excellent, except he kept breaking on us.
More importantly
How the fuck did we pay 1mill for this chump
Oh that’s right

Desmond!

2 x 5/8's in the team. thats great idea.
He was basically Manly's 4th string playmaker behind DCE, Tom and Schuster. His role was essentially to keep the left edge organised, pass to the other playmakers and chime in when he felt something was on. Foran is good value when you aren't relying on him as the dominant playmaker while paying him an absolute fortune, basically the opposite of what he was with us :tearsofjoy:
