just cut your losses and sell them for a cut price
We even offered Maguire a 6 million pay off and he refused it because he wanted 11m.

He could’ve gone to West Ham, played at a good level still and instead he is rotting on our bench and can’t even get minutes when we’ve had 4 defenders injured.

Maguire, Sancho, McTominay and Martial need to go. They have seemed to bring a stink into the season with their attitudes.

For me no one should be safe, not even Bruno or Rashford. We can’t fall into the Chelsea cycle or sacking a manager every other year, we need to push through the pain now, really change the club.

The way I see it is whether Ten Hag succeeds or fails in the long term, the work we’re doing now by clearing out the deadwood is going to serve us well in the long term.

In every game this season we’ve had patches of time where we look good and play the way we want to play, against Bayern we were on the front foot for the first 30 minutes, but we just have these amateur moments that cost us one goal and then all the heads go down and the players just give up for the rest of the game. It’s going to take time to unteach these bad habits

With Amrabat and Mount coming back soon we might finally have some extra legs in the middle. Eriksen really hurts us defensively which then leaves Casemiro exposed.

Also looking forward to having Varane back, I’m fairly sure we have a ridiculously good clean sheet record with Varane and a shocking one without him. He really brings a steady hand and leadership at the back.

Looks like in another fortnight we could be fielding this team;

—--———Onana
Dalot-Martinez-Varane-Reguilion
——Casemiro-Amrabat
———-—-Bruno
Mount-Holjund-Rashford

It’s not a complete side but there’s more steal in the middle and Mount will help us retain the ball much better.

I mean ... they're all crap anyway tbh ;)

Jokes aside, it's hardly a surprise that they're out though, is it?

Shaw has been an injury walking for years.

Varane has had his fair share.

Martinez the same.

AWB not that bad up until last year.

The problem isn't that they're injured, this issue is that there wasn't appropriate backup brought in. The same is with the midfield. And up front.

People can cry 'unlucky' all they want but that's football, just like when Liverpool had Fabinho & Hendo as your CBs. That came down to mismanagement from our club by not bringing in the appropriate backup. It's no different to United.

You reap what you sow in all honesty. Man United's luck was always going to run out ...

I’ve never made an excuse for Varane being out because the club signed an injury prone player and that’s on them, but to have not only Shaw but also his replacement (Malacia get injured), and then also AWB get injured is definitely unlucky.

Same with the midfield, to have not one but both your midfield signings pick up injuries is just insane.

Originally Johnny Evans was brought in to be a mentor for the youth, and yet now he is within a shout of starting today, after already featuring against Arsenal.

The club was after a centre back but it was depending on being able to get rid of Maguire which we couldn’t do.

Nah. Not having that.

Lucky or not the best deal with it. Your squad depth has been lacking for some time and the good results of last year were more a reflection of the drop in form of the opposition rather than your rise.

You're being found out this year it seems?

Another bullshit disallowed goal. There is clearly an agenda here, this is the 4th questionable one that has gone against us this season and yet people will always just reference the Wolves decision and call us lucky.
