that mclaren either got a great upgrade or is excellent in high speed downforce corners, piastri did a great job to get himself in there

this is a great chance to put himself on the f1 map with a podium
It's crazy that McLaren have improved so much the last few races after being behind Williams and almost every team for most of the season.

It's a shame Max is still dominating though. Perez has shit the bed lately with his qualifying performances. Alonso in 9th is frustrating. They've lost some momentum the last few races.

It would be so great to see Piastri on the podium and even seeing Albon in the top 5 would amazing.

The upgrades on both Williams and McLaren have been quite a large step forward and hopefully makes a great battle in the midfield

Massive Q3 by Piastri and Norris. So happy to see them up there

people acting like lewis had an amazing race, he was lucky that they brought out a safety car at the correct time and it halves his pitstop cost, free 13 seconds gained

piastri had pit onto the hards and was in shape to leapfrog lando into 2nd place who was prolonging his stint hoping to go onto softs, the safety car ruined it, mclaren probably would have ordered a reversal back to lando because he would have come up behind piastri but 3rd place was in the bag

but overall very happy race for mclaren, if they are suited to this track then hungary in 2 weeks is even more suitable with quick corner after quick corner, although it is hard on tyres

It was the track but also the conditions, the cold temperatures suited Mclaren. To be able to perform the way they did on the hards it was obvious that Mclaren had no problem warming them up. What impressed me was the stint on mediums compared to what the other teams were doing. Piastri was very close to Lando's performance all weekend, and lets not forget that Lando had the new front wing that Piastri will need to wait to the next race for.

Ricky Bobby AKA Danny Ric is back in F1 replacing Nyk De Vries at Alpha Tauri for the rest of the season
Hopefully he drives good enough to replace Perez next season.

If Horner replaces Chico it will be for a much better and more sought after driver than Ricciardo. He's pretty ruthless. Lando or someone like that would probably be the main target

Lewis on pole In Hungary.. Norris and Piastri in P3 and P4.. They've found a lot of pace the last few races after being one of the slowest teams for most of the season..

Aston Martin have dropped off massively from their earlier pace in the season..

Hopefully Max doesn't win but he probably will as he's on the front row.. Perez in 9th.. He's struggling badly at the moment..

Piastri on the front row in Japan ahead of Lando, this is finally the podium situation for him and its a nice daytime slot for Aussie fans

ive got McLaren at $6.00 to win the race but its only in hope for some luck or them splitting strategy as its meant to be a tough race on tyres, theoretically max will just land in the lead and have a comfortable race

Interesting to see Piastri get a win before Norris this year

thats not a win, that was an exhibition race

but yes piastri is excellent and since lando is world class that means piastri is world class, plus he will improve big time on this debut marker

If you go back to the early 00s here you'll see me always complaining about hamilton. Hated his diva attitude. So I don't know how I feel about him joining Ferrari being a huge ferrari fan.

In saying that he has mellowed with age and Max has taken over as the primadonna of the f1 world

$77 million reported as the carrot figure to get Hamilton to take the knee at Ferrari.

Max can come across as a primadonna, but he's just saying what he thinks, without a filter.

Hamilton, on the other hand, concocts all sorts of falsehoods to try to create his own narrative around himself. Always spins the narrative to portray himself as the underdog or victim, even with minor details.
