Before we signed Williams there wouldnt have been not 1 player near 500k a season. Our most paid is probably Franky? Ennis? on 400k max.

Both of Manly's halves are on half a mil now. With the Stewart brother to re-sign also. They're the ones that should be worried.

no mate it makes the site worse, too many friends and family on here and the abuse is disgraceful tbh
What does that have to do with the salary cap?

Its common knowledge that we have a number of players who off contract next year. Some will be re-signed some wont and the salary cap will play a part in that, not rocket science, we cant be over the cap if our squad next season isn't finalised.

We have very good people leading the club, its not an issue.

When any team makes a few signings or a signing of note, their cap is questioned by opposition fans, every fanbase is guilty of this. End of the day, what would we as supporters know of players contracts and how much they are being paid. The media know f@#k all, they just print estimates...

As long as we have enough to re-sign Halatau and Tapau. I'll be happy.

During our downtime, I ventured over to a rival's house. I wont name names, but they start with an "M" and rhyme with "anly".

They're convinced we're handing out the brown paper bags.
The LOLS, there are many.

PS : By keeping the kids here, you keep them away from everywhere else ... *taps nose*
Funny you mention that

These are the same people that said our team was crap and didn't have any superstars in the team.

Also said that none of our players would make the 17 in their squad

And we are over the cap?

This is a guess for 2013.

400k and above: Pritchard, T-Rex
350-400k - Ennis, Kasiano
300-350K - Barba, Graham, Hodgkinson, Morris, Stagg, Tolman
200-300K - Keating, Goodwin, Halutau, Turner, Reynolds
100-200k - Payne, Lafai, McDougall, Wright

The rest fit in the below 100k or 100-200k bracket

There is no way to now exactly what players are on! But remember t Rex has signed at the new salary cap rate so all player deals signed for next year and on will look like overs compared to the old cap. Also there are a number of players like Benny B and others that are on very substantial 3rd party deals that don't come under the cap but get reported on as part of their deal in te papers. Inglis is a perfect example apparently he gets 100k 3rd party deal fom ANZ stadium.

We deserve other clubs fans whinging about our cap space, because every time another team signs a player and the related article is posted on here, we get multiple posters going 'hurr durr doesn't x team have a salary cap?'. Every fucking time.

Hard if not impossible to know if we are going to be under the cap for 2013 when noone knows what the cap will be. There is a fair degree of confidence that it will be higher than 2012 but by how much is pure speculation. Greenburg would not allow us to breach the cap. He is a man with bigger ambitions and would not be fool enough to get caught with his pants down at this stage of his career.

A larger cap will not mean teams automatically have that amount free to spend. Most, if not all, players will have stipulations in their contracts so that their salary would rise by the same percentage as the cap increases. This would then have no impact on the free money teams have to work with but would just raise the figure of each player's salary.

On topic:

---> Salary cap to be increased
---> 3rd party deals
---> Many unsigned players
---> Many young guns will be promoted
---> We will have many players on minimum wage.

We'll be under the cap especially considering the plethora of players we lost last year and the fact that the only person we signed was graham.
Also the only player that we know for sure is over 300k is Pritchard(Probably not even for sure), our halves are very cheap relative to the other halves in the competition. I really don't think Barba, Morris and Inu are over 260k a season, which leaves Hodkinson who is on a media estimated 270k a season.

Really doubt we're over the cap.

Just as a side note, in the pre-season nobody rated our squad(outside of the Bulldogs family) now all of a sudden the salary cap calls come out whilst we're going good and we've sign two players in Inu and Williams.

Its a joke !
