Haywood on the bench suggests that Tracey won't play. Burton to move to Centre. Kiraz to wing, Haywood into 5/8th.

As for Critta. I think he would have done some training at Fullback in the offseason. Changes in the middle of a game are very different. I think he will be effective with a few sessions at training and his head in the game for that role.
I was very critical of Burton for the first two games playing 5/8 because I’m sick and tired of losing.
I put my hand up as I was one of the ones that wanted him moved.
The penny has dropped for me with what CC is trying to achieve.
He wants effort, line, speed and good defense concentrating on attacking last.
You cannot win games by letting in more than 18 points.
Burton’s defense at 5/8 is better than anyone else in the club.
I can see the process CC is talking about.
Fingers crossed it does not go to shit.
Burton won’t be moved anytime soon.

His defense has improved markedly from last season

Thanks for posting that mate.

Bailey has Bulldog DNA. Sent a shiver down my spine when he said "We have a job to do"

Congratulations to the young man for such a well deserved call up. He won't let us down. Has been in sublime form in the lower grades and can cover halves/hooker. It was especially warming to se the reaction of his team mates..the morale this year is super and unlike past years when things have not gone well they haven't thrown in the towel. With a bit of luck could have had more wins.

All for instilling a defensive mindset, the whole playing for the man besides you memo. Adamant we can’t take the conservative approach here unfortunately,
conceivably Ciraldos figured such with Hayward debuting should allow Mahoney to tune in to plays. During Barrett’s tenure we went down to Melbourne with the gameplan to throw the ball around and it shook them. Burton and Mahoneys kicks game will be vital, contingent on us defending well of the back of that and keeping the effort up think it will be close. Melbourne by 10, loosing critta of that edge is huge love to be proven wrong but his attacking output won’t be more valuable than his defensive output for us of the edge.

Anyone heard of Jack Todd? How far away is he from 1st grade? Looks like he had a big game last week against the roosters!

Wasn’t everyone here writing him off after his World Cup stint with Scotland :tearsofjoy:

Never change TK
I believe so. As a HB we don't need him. Everyone now has high hopes for him to be our future utility - hooker / lock relief.

I'm really pumped for Hayward.. anything can happen coming off the bench but here's hoping we are travelling well when he gets on. I thought he looked really good in our Melbourne trial.

The club obviously wrote him off as a half as well so those people were correct
