Smith on the bench isn’t that bad of an idea. A few scenarios:

1. Backline player gets injured - Smith straight in.

2. Halves get injured - Averillo to halves, Smith to the back

Katoa can go to lock when JMK comes on.

Also, a bit left field, but maybe Reimis is being turned into a forward.

I think playing an outside back as an edge forward late in the game - last 20 minutes will become a strategy teams will use increasingly.
