I’m telling some of you clowns now. Keep making rant threads whinging about player a or player b etc and I will just delete them. Your unhinged opinion ain’t important enough to have its own thread.

Checking stats which I don’t normally do. We made 134 more tackles, say u make 5 tackles a set, generally speaking. That’s an extra 27 sets of six defending. Assuming they play 100% completion rate. That’s out of this world, how they only put two extra tries on us is remarkable. Shit to lose to parra, yet it does need to be mentioned how far our defensive system has clearly improved. Any of top teams couldn’t have done better.

He's a great winger.
People that shit on Wilson are similar to people that shat on Meaney. Wouldn't make the 17 at Melbourne most said... But now he's been starting 6, 1, winger and now trusted by Bellamy at centre. Guarantee if Wilson went to a better club people would cry and want him back.
Tl:dr- wilson's not shit, but he's unsuited.

Ppl get emotional and say he's shit but it's not what they mean. In a good system he would be really good, like meaney. In our system he is totally unsuited. We have speedsters on the wings where we need tanks. A pack with no go forward need all the help they can get, wilson and foxx aren't suited to this and it's not their fault. Getting skelton in would be a start, we still need more help from the back 5.

Skelton had a blinder in nsw cup... but will probably be suspended because of the mammoth high shot he put on.

Considering we only made 29 missed tackles last year would’ve been over 50, but all the specialists pointed out based on Hutchinson that our attack would be Canon Foder and it was you can put a blanket over it

He made 4 errors.
some teams make 4 errors.
4 errors from your winger is unforgivable but if he gets that out of his game he is solid winger that can make line breaks (break down the side when he kicked back in) and can sniff a try

“But Ciraldo said there had been no need to remove the NSW State of Origin winger from the field early.
"I didn't know it was that bad until halftime," Ciraldo explained.” - Illawarra Mockery.

I’m neutral on Ciraldo and willing to cut him some slack but blind Freddy could see that JAC’s shoulder was absolutely knackered. Just amazed that the Eels didn’t attack down that side more.

With a clearer head this morning:

If the game was ref'd fairly the result would have been different, doesn't mean we would have won but we could have or at the very least the score would been much closer. If Para fans were happy with their performance they are in for a shock when they get decimated by top tier teams, with the amount of ball they had the score should have been much higher even if our D was good.

Our defensive effort was the best I have seen for a long time but like the last several seasons our attack is lacking, saying that we are slowly moving forward because we did show sparks of goodness but it needs to improve to a consistent level if we want to win, we cant always fluke tries.

We shot our selves plenty of times, while we need to play some eyes up footy I didn't see much set plays with the last been wasted many times.

I don't think CC will make changes based off one game because we played a higher placed team and with that justifications might be made to give players more game time, is it the right move..maybe for some but for others no.

We got schooled by Moses and co.

It's probably a blessing in disguise that Ado-cacabum is out. Our back 5 is too lightweight, this will force Ciraldo into a change.

He’s replacing Fox with Connor Tracey and Kiraz will go back to Centre if you read between the lines on CC presser

It’s really simple
Mistakes from dogs gave parra field position and they basically camped in our half for the whole first 40mins.
It’s not rocket science honestly it’s been the same sorry for almost 6 years now. Hold the ball and stop giving away cheap penalties.
Wilson & Taaffe have butterfingers, they will keep getting targeted by the opposition. All coaches have to do is watch the tape back of the Sharks trial and round 1 Parra. Bomb it to those two liabilities and possession will be gifted back.

I'm not overly fussed, I just don't understand why so many want to scapegoat him. Burton was practically hiding in the centres all game. Critta barely even made 5 runs out of our end. Mahoney got steam rolled all game and probably missed a million tackles. I could go on.
To be fair to Mahoney he made a large number of effective tackles last night and the ones he missed we’re ones he was bumped off by the big boppers but was effective on the second try as a result of slowing them down and getting some help.

Watching a lot of team off the play was concerning like KiKa, Kiraz and Hutch. They just looked like they were struggling to be on the pitch from early on.

Players like Salmon, Taffe, Burton etc were simply uninspiring just don’t look like they should be in first grade.

I agree. With the ball and field position the slimy Eels had they should’ve scored 50. The fact we restricted them to less than 30 showed something. The Datsun 180B in attack is a different matter however…
Even the attack isn't as horrible as what's being made out. We had roughly three sets in Parras 20 and scored twice with a heavily reshuffled backline. They had 50 touches and scores three times with one off a kick.
