Rookie of the Year

Would love to know everyone's thoughts on who should win it this year (Rookies of the year).

If we're looking at all likely candidates:

- Ashley Taylor
- Nathan Cleary
- Suliasi Vunivalu
- Bevan French
- Cody Walker
- Latrell Mitchell
- James Fisher Harris

French and Cleary only played about a dozen games so I can't see them winning it.

Latrell Mitchell had a good year but was a bit inconsistent.

JFH had a really good year for a rookie but I can't see him a forward winning it.

That leaves Walker, Taylor, Vunivalu. I think that Walker being 26 will hurt his chances as people will see someone like Ash Taylor as more of a story being 21.

So that leaves Ashley Taylor and Vunivalu. One was able to steer his team to the finals being the chief playmaker and the other broke the record for most tries in a debut year. I would give it to Vunivalu because I don't think I've seen him have a bad game all year whereas Taylor has drifted in and out of games a bit.

And try to leave the Dogs out of this, for example who would suit the Dogs better and so on.

Him & Vunuvalu did incredibly well in their rookie season, but Taylor wins because: Halfback >>> Wing
