It won't hurt to get both really. We do need forwards leaders who aren't going to go to shit when things aren't going out way. But ideally a couple of hungry youngsters who are determined to make a name for themselves can also be good as long as they're capable.
We have young props already.

Unfortunately the way the season has unfolded lost the aura that we had of being on the up. Now going to have to pay massive overs for Mids and those premium forwads are off the table even if we offer way overs their clubs will come close and stay for less. I would go hard for McLean. Make him and SST captain. Then we have to find more Max Kings players that were promising but set back by injury and give them a chance or players that look like they are just trying to break out like Sele and go for them with massive overs. Sad but just the way it is we need a stable of 5 or 6 forwards over 110kg been our problem all year. Once forwards sorted can see how Burton and Sexton are going and then go for a half maybe for 25 or 26 maybe Fogarty?

My targets for forwards next year would be McLean, Seyfarth, Sele if not signed, Jayden hunt, Eddie Blacker one or 2 others all on 2 year deals MO and overs to seal the deal. Go hard for Moe but feel like he may be a TPJ if he comes here.

Gus is a man of mystery… but, he’s not as crafty as Peter Bullfrog Moore who once invited all his rivals to lunch, as it turned out, he was the only one who didn’t turn up, instead dashing off to sign the best talents in the game.

Gustavo, we need you to channel the Bullfrog.

Apart from Edwards and Hughes, we do not have any props. And they are both beginners.
Edwards is also probs a bit too small to play prob without some other big bodies around him. Although big improvement form last year to this. If he improves that much again would be an out and out gun. Probs need to put on maybe 3-5 Kgs this year and 3-5 next year to about 105 Kgs and will be fine. We also have lipo hopoi he was one of our best in Cup and Flegg this year should be ready for NRL next year, again looks to be about 95-100Kgs his body shape looks like could get to 105Kgs+ easier. Damon Marshal has come off the bench in cup this year. Probs needs a full year in cup before ready for NRL in 25. Tanner has been good in cup, particularly in the beginning of the year, again may be a bit on the small side and in his one or two games in NRL got smashed. That being said so di Edwards and he has really improved, another year knowing what we need could come good. All that being said we need to sign as many middles as we can 3 at a bear minimum, preferably over 105Kgs, those bigger body middles is something we are really lacking the more the better.

Some of those guys you mentioned are all promising, but they are just not NRL ready. Gus needs to get his cheque book out and buy some.

With Pangai retiring and the millions under cap already with Thompson, Failagain, Okonbor along with Jackson, brown, Davey and the blokes like cotric, Allen we aren’t paying anymore it’s clear we have mega $ to splash but we can’t be just signing fringe or basic nrl players we need a couple very big names. A couple elite big forwards and if not at least 1 with an elite player maker.

If not we are making numbers up.

Critta obviously is bigger than any loss for next season. Xerri potentially adds.

Though as shit as tpj has been in games he’s also been the only forward that bent the like and caused any fear (granted kikau was out pretty much all Season).

With kikau and Preston we have quality edges.

Mahoney needs some big props to help lay the platform so he can do what he does best and not try be a Fucking 7.

So we either need a 7 and a big prop to allow this or two very good forwards to help that platform so the edges can do their thing and the backs play off this.

Backline is very good on paper with critta fox kiraz xerri Wilson Skelton etc.
