Reckon it was disciplinary. Just dunno what for. His form was ok most of the time and he showed promise. But he went really suddenly and unexpectedly. Coulda bonked Des' missus or something, who knows lol.
I thought he was doing quite well. I think he also got a 'Man of the Match' for his efforts.

It just seemed quite strange & very little has been spoken about since. Young, big, strong!

Unless he is a Kiwi?

I remember you being one of the harshest critics of this trade Mitch, clearly you had a lot of love for Lane.

Still a way to go, but RFM is looking like a fine prospect already with limited opportunities.
I thought Lane was going to be something special.. I had no idea that he was f*cked off the field.

Lane can't even crack a first grade spot now. I was wrong.

I thought we coped the wrong end of the bargain (swap) but it might turn out to be a masterstroke.

Fair enough, I figured there was more then met the eye with his departure, particularly with how he finished last year...

RFM is looking good, surprised he couldn't get a crack at The Warriors?

Good signs for us.

Yh id be happy with that or even Tolman at lock as a tackle machine. Either way Klemmer had to start and there is no way you could ever bench him again imo. Klemmer makes a massive difference when he starts. Klemmer is deadset the best metre eater in the comp.

Why did we drop Lane??? Cap pressure?
Probably pointed out to Des that his style of footy sucks arse and is as boring as bat shite so he got dropped for "poor attitude"?

TBH I rated Lane and was looking forward to see him cement a spot in our team for the future, but RFM looks just as promising, or better.

Perhaps being a devout Christian not only helps him off the field but importantly it gives him discipline that perhaps Lane lacked I(assuming the rumours are true that he clashed wit the coach and staff).

Interesting that Des Hasler prefers these sorts of players who are settled off the field because of their devout beliefs which in turn translates to a better player / coach relationship.

Des really seems to have got one right here. Proves that maybe after all he does know what he is doing cause this kid has the potential to go a LONG way in saying that he also still has a LONGGGGG way to go!!!

The main problem with Lane on the field was his defence.

RFM has a more rounded game. Better agility, footwork, and defence.

He has the right attitude and appreciates the opportunity which is a good thing. My biggest concern is that Des will turn him into another robot.

The fact RFM is playing his natural game shows Des has given him licence to ball.....for now

has a bit of sbw in his offload just seems to get them away cleanly with traffic around him
not much of a passer but with kas around he will develop that
runs hard makes metres, defends solidly but his offload is out of this world
has played 2 games and made 3 offloads already
in nsw cup in one game i saw him make 5/6 that were beautys
