Everyone just has to accept that individuals have different views about certain things in life, it’s just the way it is. You can’t make a devout Muslim wear an alcohol sponsor on their jersey if they don’t want to. You can’t make a devout Christian wear gay pride colors on their jersey if they don’t want to, you can’t make a Jew wear an Islamic symbol on their jersey if they don’t want to.
But apparently they can still get tattoos, drink and wear gambling sponsorship :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy: :tearsofjoy:

Absolute legends. It’s funny that a majority against the clear infiltration of a political ideology are from minority groups who get targeted by the same people who claim to care about em.
Leave sport as sport and politics far far away, just because it’s the hip new ideology twitter pushes doesn’t mean everyone has to bow to it and definitely not a sport.
Glad to see a majority of fans also believe in keeping sport political free. It shouldn’t be used to push a political agenda that in turn alienates people who don’t agree with said politics. The woke need to actually fuck off.
Go and create your own games and sports and have she/hers vs they/thems.

Whether you agree or not, wtf was the club thinking by not even speaking to the players first. All NRL teams wiill have some Pacific players who don't want to promote Lgbtiq+ because of religious reasons. For Manly to engage in a PR exercise and think that all the players would be on board is fkn madness

The media and the club releasing their names is poor too. Its not like they asked to promote LGBTIQ+. They did not make any statements against they have been backed into a corner

Bro we get it, you’re pro Homosexuality but it doesn’t mean everyone else has to be. The gay community has access to and are included in every part of society already. Don’t cry.
Not really pro homo just think it’s hypocritical that some of these players pull the religious card when it suits them. Also feel for the gay community that people are so outraged that they exist they they won’t play over a couple of rainbow stripes yet lace up next to women bashers no problem at all.. Unfortunately rugby league is not inclusive and never will be.

As much as I’ve disagreed on many things Paul Kent has said recently he made a great statement tonight on 360. He basically said it wasn’t needed as the manly jersey itself represents people from all different walks of life and that goes for any sporting team. We would have the one of the most diverse fan bases of any club and at the end of the day if we can all agree on our love of the bulldogs then everything else is irrelevant

They’re all islanders where tattoos feature heavily in their culture on becoming a man.

The bible says nothing about gambling, and that drinking is fine with moderation.

They shouldn’t be forced to showcase for a cause they don’t support, this is Izzy all over again.

If it wasn't inclusibe Ian Roberts wouldn't have continued a successful career at Manly after coming out. I have my issues with the gay community and I'm sure many others who have their legitimate concerns like I do, accept them in society too and treat them with the same respect and dignity as the non-homo community without having to wave flags and wear rainbow coloured clothing to make them feel even more inclusive. There doesn't need to be a song and a dance.

Why do you have legitimate concerns about the gay community? They keep to themselves and are harmless lol you talk about them like they are zombies or something

Christians aren’t going to the nrl demanding and pushing for Christian anthems/hymns to be played at grand finals, they’re not telling the nrl to put crosses on jerseys for just one round, they aren’t telling people in the nrl if they don’t accept Christ they’re bigots. You lot love to draw comparisons that are completely irrelevant. The hypocrisy of some are on them as individuals, but that’s not what this is about, this is about forcing individuals to partake in a political agenda they’re against. Learn the difference.
