Well, being only a nationally accredited radiographer I'll reserve my educated guesses for any x-rays, CT's or MRI that comes up so not to upset you.
Any idea what one Dr F.M Wood AM FAHMS is up to these days?

Sexton while at the Titans forced plenty of line drop outs.
So the rule change will mean that opposition will take short line drop outs all the time. Which we would have a 50-50 chance of regaining, potentially negating Sexton's best asset.

Overall im concerned about how this rule change will effect alot of young halves short kicking game when attacking the line.
Bring back the wall.

Hasler is a has been.

If he couldn't get Manly up he sure as hell won't get the Titans up.

Too many long term contract pampered forwards and Hasler.

Not a good combo.

Parra and Brad Arthur and on the downward spiral.
Hasler specialises in setting a good standard in defence and simple football. If he's got a semi decent spine and a good forward pack, he'll get a decent standard of football from them. But his best seasons fall off the back of having a few key players that can create opportunities off the solid foundation the team lays. Even with Reynolds and Keating as our halves we managed a GF. But Stewart/s, DCE, Foran and a decent hooker were more influential in creating points than a specific Hasler game plan IMO. So I won't be surprised if the Titans go close to their best season.

Manly made the finals the first year Hasler went back to Manly & he took them to the top 4 in 2021. They were in the 8 in 2022 until that jersey fiasco ruined them. He has improved every single team the first year that he coaches them.
I agree. I'm not sure exactly what his process is, but he can iron out many bad habits when he's parachuted into a job where his roster is reasonable. And the Tits roster has a few touches of quality. He's got a forward pack he'll salivate about. Foran will do a job, not sure about the rest of the spine.

An observation based on a number of pre season training sessions including opposed session and a number of jun rep trials - seems to be an emphasis on shifting the ball to the edges as quick as possible. Passes being forced n not hitting the mark as opposed to ball being dropped, halves having to run the ball more and requiring an insider option. Early days - the opposed sessions are far more enlightening than the fitness/skill/drill sessions - although last Saturday had a lot of repetition.
Sounds pretty promising to me. If we're working on getting our timing down for quick ball movement it's a good thing. Unless the fringe props or youngsters really step up, we will occasionally need strategy to nullify opposition packs that are belting us.

I'm not a pessimist and I don't think our pack is going to be as bad as the naysayers think. But nor am I expecting miracles. But with the quality in our backline and edge forwards it makes sense to improve our ability to shift the ball to take advantage of them.

How fit is Max King looking!

Yikes!
King is SOO level, too many of our fans turned on him last season and cut him zero slack despite him trying to carry out entire pack while playing through multiple injuries. Even now people still think he's only good enough for the bench when he could probably start in both grand finalists frontrow this season.

Wouldn't say he was SOO level atm, but he is better than a lot give him credit for.

I'd say he is, at worst he's bordering on that level. A fit King in our donkey forward pack was pumping 140m, 30+ tackles and a couple of offloads a game. High quality and high workrate. Put him in a competent and balanced pack and he will thrive and enable the flashier players to do their stuff.

Kurt Mann
Jaeman Salmon
Liam Knight

Drew Hutchison

I'd rather any 4 of those ahead of RFM.

A fit and motivated RFM is a decent player.

Unfortunately we didn't see that guy last year
