Watching the top teams style v ours, it is easy to see that our style is well outdated.

Gone are the conservative days of tucking it under the arm for 5 tackles and kicking it deep into the corners.

The top teams especially the storm are throwing a shot EVERY single set. They cart the ball with there forwards to around the half time way line on around tackle 3 or 4 then on every set they throw a shift, asking questions etc.

I also heard a coach say statistically the 40 metre line is the best and most efficient line to attack from.

Now, not saying we have the cattle etc, but no doubt the change in style will help us.

I even heard Flannagan say something similar in commentary today.

Bugger all has changed since late Hasler era so yeah fair to say our style is a factor.

A bunch of limited talent, brain dead, heartless, pride-less, stupid, hands for feet neanderthals is a very poor playing style for footy.

Good teams have a solid pack, quality hooker and elite fullback... We have a weak pack bar Thompson, shit hookers and DWZ at fullback. The shit block shapes have gotta go though, gotta run in numbers and fight for quick play the balls

Honestly barring Thompson, we are basically running out a decent Mounties forward pack lol.

Our guys seem to actually comply and offer to turn themselves onto their backs in tackles then a slow ptb. No running in numbers.

We are dumb but it's getting harder and harder not to start questioning the effectiveness of the coaching and game fitness and readiness.

This has shades of 2018 to it.

Agree I haven't minded Ava, but he really needs to pick his moments better as he can be quite damaging but just doesn't have the engine. Ideally I'd much prefer if Barrett adopts a heavier middle rotation with him and Renouf

I want to blame the players too but their short-comings are just symptoms ..And unfortunately our coach is the wrong coach to fix it. It's like having orthopaedic surgeon doing brain surgery...

They gotta diagnose the problem , the cause etc...They're not being objective or analytical enough and need a specialist not a General practitioner

If I were in charge Id use a checkbox for starters ..

Are they as fit as the 'control' team
Are they as smart as the 'control team '
Is their training as intense and does it meet the principles of the sport as it stands today? Etc

Long story short I trust that all the above is true..

Watching them play I always know they are going to let the other team win no matter what even if they were given clear ground to the try line they'd find a way to fuck up..

This suggests that they have a losing mentality . They're victims and they love it.

They're the BLM of the NRL

And you're welcome
