I understand your take on el masri and respect that.
My opinion of him differs from yours where I think it wasn't all about finishing movements from an era when the dogs where consistently on top of their game. I agree he Wasn't super speedy but he had a good head for a winger. His awareness and positional play was very good. I rarely saw him get bundled into touch. Rarely saw him go for an intercept and get it wrong and concede an overlap. If he left the defensive line, he would nulify the attacking raid. Just a few points what made him a very good player than your normal speedy guys who fade just as quick as they can run.
The points records he held will always be a legacy he will have. Just give the rest of his ability a thought.
