Nah Des walked into a team on the rise in 2012. We just missed out on the eight in 2011. Our NSW cup team took out the title. That 2012 side was built by Kevin Moore. Des was gifted the following..

Barba, Ennis, Graham, Jackson, Finucanne, Kasiano, Tolman, Pritchard, Lafai, JMoz, Hodko, Turner, Stagg, Tapau, Halatau, Goodwin, etc

Thats a pretty decent core group of players. Barba was scoring trys at will in 2011 and was only a matter of time before he had his breakout season.

Now look at the list of players Des recruited from 2013 to his last year in 2017.

Failure to sign a young Latrell Mitchell
