First and foremost, I didn't watch the game... BUT...

A 52-30 scoreline (82 points) between what are meant to be 2 premiership contending sides is laughable... That's an NYC scoreline. Even accounting for Origin players out.

This coming after an 8-9 snoozefest vs Roosters last weekend, whilst the Dragons just beat Parra 20-18.

In particular given the last game between Dragons and Storm was 34-14 to Storm.

This was the second biggest score ever put on against St Merge, and actually only the 2nd time they've had over 50 put on them.
Worst loss ever (and only other loss) over 50 points was Mar 3rd 2000 St George Illawarra L 10 - 70 Melbourne

Makes a laughing stock of the NRL with such scorelines.

Cracker of a match. Great to see some free flowing footy, loved it. Bonus seeing saints lose

Dufty looked pathetic as a last line of defence. Didn’t even put his body in front

Stop overthinking and analyzing everything in a negative manner. Game was fucking great to watch.

There was actually set plays that were awesome to watch then full on off the cuff attacking football.

Maybe watch the fucking game before being an absolute downer all the time. Jesus Christ dude.

Stopped reading after "I didn't watch the game"..... why comment on something you know nothing about?

I never understood the value of a dummy half till cam smith came onto the scene.

He holds up passes and has a superb kicking game. Absolute master class.

Because he made a good point.

Dragons won't be Premiers conceding 50 points in a game... Origin stars or not. That is NOT what Premiership teams do.

The Broncos are lucky mo-fos. Sitting on the edge of the 8 with 6 points between them and the 9th placed Raiders :tonguewink::tonguewink::tonguewink:

Watched the replay and I stick by my comments. Sure it was entertaining (due to scoreline), but an embarassment that two "top teams" in assumed premiership contention can leak so many points. It reminded me of like a kids game. All attack and no defence.

64 missed tackles (24 Storm, 42 Dragons). 5 HIAs for Dragons didn't help. Nor did like 11 players missing due to Origin (so maybe this is a blight on it).

Out of interest, in the past decade there has only been 4 other games that have hit 82 or more combined points (one the same 3 hit 86). In only one of these instances both teams have gone on to play finals footy.

Sun Aug 10th 2008 Canberra 74 Penrith 12 = 86 combined points scored. Canberra finished 6th, Panthers 12th.
Sun Sep 7th 2008
Canberra 52 Bulldogs 34 = 86 combined points scored. Canberra finished 6th, Bulldogs 16th.
Sun Aug 16th 2009
Brisbane 58 Penrith 24 = 82 combined points scored. Brisbane finished 6th, Panthers 11th.
Thu Aug 24th 2017
Parramatta 52 Brisbane 34 = 86 combined points scored. Parra finished 4th, Brisbane 3rd.
Thu Jul 5th 2018
Melbourne 52 St Merge 30 = 82 combined points scored.

You didn't have to watch the game to realise it wasn't NRL standard.

It was
