NRL knocks back Cronulla's proposal to play five games a year on Central Coast

May 07, 2009

The NRL has knocked back Cronulla's proposal to play five games a season at Blurtongue Stadium over the next four years in return for extra funding.

"The Partnership Executive Committee has only had the opportunity to look at Cronulla’s proposal on a preliminary basis," NRL chief David Gallop said.

"It is not prepared to embrace the idea at this stage.

"We will continue to work with the club to explore all available measures and to further understand and improve its financial forecasts."

You can't just wake up & decide to move 5 home games to gosford for financial gain. Cronulla can get fkd - they offer this competition nothing!

any chance they had of survival was gone when they released kimmorley and goodwin, for 2 players twice as much and 1/2 as good

F**k Cronulla are stupid.

They can die in the next few years or move to Perth and not only survive but be financially successful for a decade or more.

Hmmmm.

What to do?

Move to Perth FFS! I hate how the concept isn't even mentioned in any of these articles.
