Too hard to pick a first 4 with so many good place chances. I would box 7 or 8 horses out of the following:

Alot of horses havent run the distance coming into a cup race every year. We dont really get 3200m group 1s in Australia.

But yes it is a shit field

if this is the weakest cup field in years then that could only mean that last years race was more difficult, number 1 twilight payment led all the way in that race

its the testing material for the favourite, also like some money on number 12 persan for a place

btw im the grim reaper of the melbourne cup, a few of my horses have died recently so number 1 and number 12 should be shaking in their horseshoes

Firstly it isnt a shit field there are less internationals is the main difference(Fuck them i dont like the visitors much anyway), there are average horses in it but also more than half the field are decent imo.

Favourite Incentivise is a budding SUPERSTAR maybe the greatest stayer in 50 years and going for ten straight wins that is why it is very short, he very likley wins it too.

I have some spec bets on a few that may go shit but all i need is one to run a place or if one flukes a win a couple of grand could result and goes into the kick.Great House a half decent chance, Selino and She's Ideel are the 2 roughies im on.
