I think both grades will as per Steve’s comment be competitive. Personal opinion both grades may be short a couple big middles. But work Ethic and structure looks good. Looked fit compared to parra but same as last year clubs will change teams adding players by the time the season starts fingers crossed

Gus has done a great job recruiting 6 players from QLD and 2 from NZ with another 4 external players on their way for HM . The 8 players that played yesterday were strong, just wished they played against Parras better team in the first 20mins .

Alex Conti started at 6 in the first quarter next to Woods at 7. Played quite well, got flattened by a second rower late but shrugged it off.

Combined quite nice with woods. He Set a a nice try for the winger with a nice pass.

Ball won by the same score 5-4.

Woods didn’t play but someone said should be good round 1. Slight hammy strain.

Conti and Logan Spinks were really solid. As was the fullback who would be 70kgs dripping wet. The hooked Zaidas who has come from the Eels played well too and is massive for his position. The other player to watch is the winger wearing number 2 who looks like a Fijian version of Selwyn Cobbo.
