Tough call, kid is 22 years old, basically a baby playing in a massive game fighting a bloke ten years older than him who is a veteran in the arena.

Even with two blokes on him Burton still stood his ground and let a few fly too.. Also remember Burton comes from an age were there is no fighting so he was never expecting that first Gagai punch.

It was clear QLD had decided before the game to target him for extra attention. That is what he needs to take home with him, after only one game they are already petrified of him. He is only going to get bigger and stronger from here.

Need to give credit to Slater and QLD.
They had 4 hslfbacks firing on all cylinders plus a playmaking fullback.

DCE just took control kicking on 3rd and 4th tackle and turning the tired forwards around.

You cannot substitute brains in this game.

DCE just purely outsmarted NSW and he had Hunt, Harry and Dearden following him

Man QLD have always had old heads as their generals.. Look what happened when Maloney came in a few years back. NSW rely on raw talent which they lost this year.

Only reason Cleary does anything is because he has Payne next to him which QLD always need to throw bodies at, very easy to find a gap next to Haas.
