Nathan Cleary became a different player after his "layoff" a few years ago, looked much bulkier and had facial skin that resembled a dropped burrito. Something was very suspect about what happened during those few weeks/months to many observers of the game.
Interesting , never noticed this.

Bodybuilders abuse it, sorry to say but your uncle would’ve been on so much for so long, that will cause side effects.
You can have gear for just about anything.
If you’re injured there is peptides for healing they call it the wolverine stack.
If your born short they give you HGH and you grow taller ( obviously this is done in hospital under professional guidance) cost is ridiculous 25k plus.
Of course he abused it lol. Peds are obviously used in sports today to a certain extent but as soon as you give athletes and clubs the "all clear" then it's going to be abused and become a complete free for all. It's going to end in tears for too many families.

That hgh shit is only for kids with problems lol

I wouldn't expect them to run a program with stuff from the local dealer in the back room of the gym. And while any supplement program will incur some risk. If it's overseen by someone qualified in the field they should keep things safe.

I've seen this concept pop up on social media a few times. It'll be interesting to see if a retired Olympian can smash his times.

The problem I see arising if this works out is it might entice younger athletes to quit the non supplemented sport to pursue the money. I have no idea what an Olympic athlete earns. A repeat gold medal winner might earn well, but someone who never quite goes past silver or bronze might see a one off race/record attempt as a better way to earn a living.
I actually googled this earlier today:
Some countries it's 10-20k for a gold medal and roughly 5-10k for bronze n silver.
In murica its up to $50k per gold and Brazil n Japan closer to $100k per gold.
I assume most countries wouldn't pay the athletes, getting an Olympic medal is the pinnacle so no financials given

He was 18 when he made is debut. The far and away likely scenario is he was still growing.

All of his strengths aren't even physical.

Armstrong also lost both nuts to testicle cancer through that time didn't he. But he was still hiding his drug use, so probably not using things with much testing.

But I agree. I think if it's monitored and approved drugs are used in a short term program it shouldn't have long term repercussions.
Lance used heavy Testosterone in 1994 when he won the world championships and a few big one day races but was not involved with just emerging EPO that GEWISS and a few other teams had access to. There’s a great video of 5 time Tour de France winner Miguel Indurain riding past him in the time trial like he was a child on training wheels. He went on to get testicular cancer which is strongly linked to his PED use. He returned in 1999 the year after the Tour De France was raided and 80 plus riders were kicked out and an entire team arrested for having drug paraphernalia. The anti drug testers only had one way to detect drug use and it was through hematocrit levels. Anything over 50% was considered dangerous, the tour winners from 1995-1998 were sitting at sixty percent which is basically glue. When Lance came in, his famous doctor Michele Ferrari used a combination of dosing EPO at the exact right time and taking the riders blood before the race, refrigerating it and on the rest day which was usually 3/4 through the race and a day before the high mountains , they would sit in a room and have it re-administered, with a boost in white and red blood cells which naturally lower during prolonged exercise. The winners of these races where everyone doped weren’t the most talented but those who had the biggest tune up from the drugs. A rider with a natural hematocrit of 45 would not have the glow up of a rider who’s sat at 38 and that’s where the fairness of a open Olympics comes from.

I did some work at the NSW institute of sport and it was a brutal reality check for some athletes when they got their tests results back that no amount of hard work was going to close the gap to compete at the very top of their chosen sports.

EPO was an amazing drug in that when you reached your limit, say your sprinting up a mountain in the Tour de France and everything in your body is screaming for you to stop. Multiple riders reported when their mouths bled from internal factors, your body tells you to stop. If you are mentally strong enough to keep pushing you could continue and go even faster. It’s crazy what these people put themselves through

Ok, jumping away from the serious side of things. Does anyone have the number of the billionaire sponsoring this event. Imma ring him and see if I can design an event for myself using performance enhancing Viagra.

Edit
I'm not in this for the money. I'd just like to see how far I could push myself in the name of science.

dude's 5 years retired. no idea if he's kept in some sort of shape.

Not sure how much the roids would help a male swimmer - a female swimmer would stand to gain a lot more by comparison.
