There were ongoing riots follow the anniversary of Mahsa Amini's death in custody (September), she was detained for not wearing a hijab. 530 killed (including children), 22,000 arrests.. as far as I know the Iranian government is pushing for more punishments, and there have been student protests in Iran this week. There has been protests in Australia but I haven't seen any of the usual suspects in attendance, just Iranians and other middle Eastern looking folk.
