Ok so my board **** itself after a 7 8 months, system = Antec 900 :: Asus p5n-e SLI :: E8500 @ 4.03Ghz :: Noctua NH-C12P :: Gigabite nvidia Gtx 260 @ 704/1512/1109 :: Thermaltake Toughpower 750w :: 4GB Patriot ddr2 800ram

So my kennel pc nerds what should i do, Just buy another p4 board? Buy a p4board that supports ddr3, Or sell my e8500, And invest in a i7 board with an i7 proccesor SO ****ING CONFUSED, Pc is only used for surfing the net/gaming do i really need the extra 2 cores? **** I HATE PCS.

If you go i7 it means you'll need new RAM also. i7 motherboards are also expensive.

If you have the money go for it, but a cheaper and quicker way will be just to replace the mobo

Yeah just go for a Core Duo.

Cash up on a graphics card instead. Or something else.
