At Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, there's a lone red seat in the right field bleachers that signifies the longest home run ever hit at the ground. Was hit by Ted Williams on June 9, 1946.

At the top of the hill is Canterbury Road, on left corner was Vynoid Inds my first job after school 1964
There was a real BITCH of a speed hump they installed recently near the corner shop there just after turning off Canterbury road. So many people complained so they had to scrape it down to make it a bit smoother.

Budd RDC for the daily south coast service. They ran in a coupled set, including a buffet car. Apart from the buffet they were all equipped with motors and driving controls, so could operate as single cars if needed. They had a high hump on the roof for the airconditioning system, which made them stand out.

They were based at Wollongong, where they ran the morning peak service to Sydney, then formed the South Coast Daylight Express to Nowra and return to Sydney; and then formed the evening peak service back to Wollongong, where they stabled for the next day.

Very comfortable and fast. They lasted for a long time in service, and when the motors were too far gone, were used as normal carriages behind a diesel locomotive.

Or you see one on George Street or whatever and its a KFC
It became a tricky way to "preserve" heritage buildings by keeping the facade, and gutting the rest of the building to put up a standard high rise with no visual appeal apart from the old facade. Property developers rule OK?

Cities like Paris, Prague, and Vienna are famous because they treasure and keep their old buildings.
