Yes he coached Nsw under 20s, big whoop. Yes he coached Melbourne under 20s, which is a plus but he has spent too long under Ricky Stuart and to be frank that isn’t a good apprenticeship. However if he was with Bellamy the whole time, I would be very confident he’d be doing better than he is now.
Des is a good coach. And I think for us, he had too much power. He appears to be a great manager, but other options in terms of talent retention and recruitment he sucks. I doubt the whole manly culture thing, I think manly know how he is and have effectively collared him.
