How come Hoppa gets his form excused bc he dropped attitude at not getting re-signed (on his overs) yet young Matt Doorey, with his whole career in front of him, seems to be judged more harshly for dropping his head

It's clear leadership or lack thereof from the playing group has been a huge problem for the club for years now. Aside from Thompson short term and maybe Burton/Topine longer term we don't have too many captaincy or leader options..

In regards to player signings for next season, obviously we want to sign the best talent available but we need a blend of youth and experience so signing someone like Finucane or even Taupau if cheap enough to go along with an experienced International hooker in Clark would go a long way towards adding more veteran leadership at the club..

Unfortunately the dogs over the last 4 years at least have paid overs for duds. None have lived up to their hype.

Question has to be: why is he playing so poorly?

The guy can play, all things considered. He is experienced, safe etc.

He is probably best at fullback.

I’ve never seen him so inept??

Is he finished? Is it the culture/Attitude around the place? Coaching? A combination?

He along with many others have been told they are gone...that's the issue now for the rest of 2021

It's beyond sad that we can't be just celebrating their skills and some wins.
They've come under so much criticism, their coach publicly belittled by Beetoota..maybe they'll give 100% this week.
