I dont know how half these players would go in the AFL, they really do not get a chance to choose where they are drafted to.

Hannant is a person of integrity who will honour an agreement because his principles demand that he does. But, if it is causing stress within his family, we should allow him to go. He would be breaking the contract, so a payout clause should not apply.

A swap with a willing Qld club might be the best result for all concerned - provided that the players being exchanged won't also get homesick.

This is not panning out to be our year.
i remember last time we swapped with a club.. willie mason for danny williams. good work.

looks like he will play out the year but it will be his last year

i don't think the talk about dropping him is fair, he is prepared to play out the year and has given us plenty of time to his cash else where, while i'm annoyed at this home sick bull****, it seems like hannant has handled it well, unlike 2 past players

As soon as I saw Hannant on Saturday I knew he had not had enough sleep, a lot of people are counting on him to see the year out and make this year work, he should move his family to the Central coast if they are still up north.

Why would the Doggies management let this cat out of the bag UNLESS Hannant is going VERY soon.

They could have EASILY kept a lid on this and let the news out after this season is over if he was just going to leave after this year.

Whatever, he's a great player but not perfect. Let him and his family be happy and give us some new blood...

lets trade him to the titans, any titan forwards who are good enough?
we can swap him for Anthony Laffranchhi or Luke Bailey !!!!! Mark Miniciello ???? personally Laffranchi is probably the best titans player and one of the top back rowers in the NRL !!! is an 80 minute player too!!!! :grinning:

Proof that money doesn't buy happiness.

I wouldnt mind Thaiday or Kenny, but what stops any players involved in a swap pulling the homesick card in the future?

I agree with everything you have said strangely lol..

But seriously though. I wouldnt trade him for anyone at the Titans, Broncos maybe, but they still arent as good as Ben.

Contracts are worth nothing any more not even toilet paper.
The club should make a stand and release him immediately and bring back Eastwood and SBw, we will have enough money.
