Considering change it up with Hoppa during the game with Bmoz at fullback would be something, Hoppa was pretty great for us last night in covering the kicks at the line, but those two players where our best two attacking players early in the season, given thats disappeared at least be willing to switch things up and see if that creates some attacking options between them.... don't even have to start that way, but if it isn't flowing, then switch it up.

Outside of that, what can we really do in the space of one week? Kas coming back will be handy, other than that....... Souths first half tries did come one the back of errors, so I guess completions are one of the few things you can actual address (although, thats been highlighted for weeks now, so its not likely to get hugely better, and its not going to be a magical fix on its own even if the team makes no errors in the finals).

I'd hope we are considering a tweek to our forward rotation as well, Josh Jackson to lock more, Klem given more strke player role opportunity, maybe start Kas and use an extra interchange on him to get him an extra short burst (not necessarily more minutes, or, not a lot more, just spread those minutes a little more, and as much as he has been awesome coming off the bench and getting us rolling forward, who do we have that would be better for a short starting run in the initial softening up period of a finals game? the panthers defence being dented right from the get go wouldn't be a bad thing, at least throw something at them that they don't expect Des, please?

Oh, and when we are in there 10 to 20..... whats the point of having all these big strong forwards if they play as first receiver and look to offload? .... just get them the ball fast and have them run straight at the line, JJ showed a good example of what can happen when our big men just play direct and don't try to be clever with the ball.

Let the backs look to be clever a little more, and let the big guys just look to run straight and hard over the defence a little more. Our forward pack is much stronger than theirs, but thats only going to matter if ours play a little differently to recently.

Hoppa cleaning up was really good. The rest of his game in attack was crap.

Sharks or storm would have thumped us today. Sorry des it's not all about ball control. The reason the boys are dropping the ball is fatigue from your shitty game plan. They also start to make a lot of mistakes when the game is over and throwing the ball around. Again that's when they are all fatigued and gone so nothing works. Please des do yourself a favour and give yourself a uppercut and then sack yourself.

And the answer is, the players without the ball skills ie the forwards, get well over double the touches of the ball than the backs, the players with supposedly better handling etc all because of this shit structure we keep playing

Also doesn't help the fact we never stand with any depth to give ourselves time with the ball, we stand up flat and getting hammered as soon as we get it as the defence is already in our face

This is why Burgess scored that length of the field try the other night. Forwards getting in the way and receiving the ball when it should be the halves onto one of the backs, forced a stupid error from Mbye and see ya later, try time.

He is completely oblivious to the fact that it's his coaching methods that are letting the team down. When asked about the halves he said they touched the ball more than the Souths halves!! Are you serious! Catch and pass one off the ruck to a forward shouldn't count Des you imbecile!

He's lost the plot, lost the fans and I dare say he's lost the dressing room.

How he can not be aware of the fact that his tactics are so poor when everyone in the media and fans are talking about it is beyond me.
