As for having a captain who is publicly vocalising his doubts and struggles… yes in a perfect world we want Cam Smith leading us… but we don’t… we instead have a player who potentially is going learn from their experience, be more accessible for young players to discuss their own issues, we already know he leads on the field (by probably trying too much), he has more solid support around him… he has the makings of a great captain as much as any other candidate we have to pick from.

Agree, anyone who calls out a player for being weak ( as in showing perceived mental inadequacy) should be called out, 100%… which is what my comment was targeting, calling Mahoney weak for vocalising his doubts and struggles… it is such a pathetic comment to make, made from the safety behind a keyboard, by those who have zero pubic profile exposure.
Fair enough.

Fair enough.
And then you have the category of cahhhunt, aka Dreaming04, who upon their first post of calling Mahoney weak, and finding it got a reaction, then doubles-down and follows up with a second post of calling Mahoney weak… like some fuckin 13 year old school kid who has just discovered the ability of using trigger words’ off tic-tok.

Reed looks like he has slimmed up.
His opening month last season was good then much like the squad fell to shit

His defence was turnstile but shouldn’t be playing 80min week in week out

Hopefully we see him have subbed each game so he can give us quality minutes

Less is more

Love to see this 'proof'
It’s abundant:

1) Brian To’o wearing a 2023 jersey on social media
2) Something Luai said about Ciraldo in the press.
3) Khoury not having the numbers at the election.
4) Jeral Skelton ‘debuting’ only to be named 18th man.

Tonnes of proof that Flipper is always right :tearsofjoy:.

Flipper has no idea and no credibility. Trolling is the only thing on his (or her) CV.

we needed Reed to be an Alan Border style leader but we got a church mouse instead.
Not sure what games you watched last season mate but I saw Reed question referees a number of times. He was also the guy who said ‘Shut up Josh!’ to Grub in Wollongong when he was gobbing off to the man in the middle. Hardly what I’d call a ‘church mouse’.

I was questioning why they wanted to come other than money delusional to think they didn’t have those thoughts

It’s just rare someone would admit to it publicly

Well said mate ur the most balanced member of this forum and u should be commended for that

. I cant think of any club captain whos ever come out publicly to say hes regretted his decision to be at the club at the same time that hes still captain of the club. Totally unprofessional, immature and weak
Disagree however and you will be told to take a jump ....

Disagree or agree with Mahoney all you want… but call him weak, or any other player for that manner, for openly articulating his thoughts, and you’ll be rightly told to go fuck yourself… and that also applies to those showing support to those who do

Api Koroisau poked fun at his new club and he was appointed captain soon after and Ben Hunt requested a release during the season from his club and his new coach confirmed he would remain as captain. So, two NRL Premiership winning coaches are able to move on and still comprehend that players will provide value to a club due to their professionalism and their competitive spirit.

However, we have some supporters that feel it necessary to be outraged and even call our players weak as a result.

You are getting a bit carried away aren't you mate?

Some of us simply didn't like the interview .... get over it.
