PANTHERS v BULLDOGS

8.05pm Thursday at Pepper Stadium

Panthers: James Segeyaro’s injury puts the Panthers in a bind as they have no designated back up hooker. Sione Katoa made his first grade debut last season but is currently sideline by injury, which means the Panthers must choose between Soni Luke (who won man of the match in last year’s Under 20s grand final) and Zach Dockar-Clay if they want to select a specialist hooker. If Griffin wants to go with a makeshift option he could throwElijah Taylor and Tyrone Peachey into the role and if he really wants to upset fans he could move Wallace to hooker and give a first grade debut to Te Maire Martin. Dean Whare will return at right centre for Waqa Blake but Matt Moylan is still a week or two away.

Bulldogs: The luckless Chase Stanley is a chance of being fit for the match against the Panthers but if he is unavailable Hasler could opt to shift Josh Jackson to the centres seeing as Stanley is expected to miss just a week. If Hasler wants to go with a specialist he may inject Tyrone Phillips. David Klemmer will come in on the bench at the expense of Lloyd Perrett.

I'm glad Segyaro is out, he always gives us trouble. Confident we win this if we show up to play

They mean he got hit by a cork celebrating last weeks win. Hit his shoulder, probably 3 months on the sideline. Lucky it wasn't his eye, that would have been the season.

Also I wouldn't say he is made out of plastic as it takes plastic decades to break down. I would say he is more made out of?? A car produced in Kazakhstan.

Would rather leave JJ alone and bring in Phillips for a game.

Yup. Segayaro's clearly a solid player, but he always looks like a bloody Immortal against the Dogs.

So both teams missing half their spine in the same positions. Let's see who has the best depth.
