Great news that we have retained one of our most promising junior talents. Well done to all involved and hope the young man has an exciting career in blue and white.
Be fantastic to see him continue his development and progress to an nrl standard half.

It's a credit to the talent of Woods that he played for Australia in juniors for League and Rugby, was an under 16's all-Australian in AFL and was considered a potential top 5 draft pick for the AFL..

He's still only 17 so now that he can focus solely on League and the Bulldogs, hopefully we can see him develop through the grades in the next year or two..
Plenty of N.Cleary about Woods so hopefully by the time he is ready for NRL, the squad is primed and ready for his arrival.

Hopefully also kids like Alatini kick on to partner up with a seasoned Burton, Mahoney and Crighton.

Great news that he’s staying, he had a lot of choices & chose us, that says a lot …

How many talented young kids has the club pulled in over the last few months that could have gone anywhere, but instead chose to sign with us.

Young quality players like Burton, Crichton, Mahoney etc. will be players we rebuild around, but most of these other players coming in for a year or two are just stop gaps until the juniors are ready to step up .. I don’t know why some get so hung up on them ..

Eventually we’ll end up with a good balance of experience and youth ..

Sucks that it takes so long, but when the time comes it should give the club sustained success.

Those who can see the bigger picture can see what the clubs doing.

This is the type of thread where 04 Dreaming, Flanagun and Polly Power go MIA…..

Why is that? Because it’s a positive outcome Gould and Club were able to orchestrate. These individuals (or individual if they are multiple aliases) aren’t Bulldog fans.. there on this forum to destabilise.

There are some similarities but I don't want to make that kind of comparison or put that kind of pressure on him. Hopefully now that his future is resolved he can go to another level in Flegg and then Reserves whenever he's ready.. Either way we need to take it slow and not rush him.

Great work. All these little victories and good decisions will add up in the long term.
