And thats the thing that makes me very concerned with pay his selections are very ordinary and does not adjust a bit hasler like pick and stick
Pick and stick? he's just about given every possible player a run in the side. Tualau, toomaga, olive, holland, smith, lewis, brown, ogden, jmk, frawley, martin

To be fair lichaa and frawley were dropped early because of form. Even if some were due to necessity most of those guys didn't really stand up and take their chance

The situation still isn't that hard to believe imo. We're paying Woods and Mbye 200k each to play at other clubs. Suli potentially 100k and I wouldn't be surprised if we're still chipping in 100k or so towards Lloyd Perrett considering we had him signed to a long term deal to the tune of 400k/year. Assuming we're paying 500k-600k to players at other clubs, that's a fair chunk of cap space, basically the equivalent of what we could be paying 5 minimum wage squad players.

As suggested by an earlier poster, we still have players in our squad getting paid significant overs. Foran on 1.2m and Nu Brown on 400k to name a couple.

Foran's staggering contract is a massive stain on our cap, we desperately need him medically retired.
Foran is not on $1 million a season... not even close.

Suli was a mutual contract termination by both parties and we are paying nothing.

The NRL administration are in the age of not taking responsibility and fining anyone they can and by any means. So really what did they have to lose by letting us go extremely over the cap... nothing at all... All it means is that a sydney team isnt as competetive (which they dont care about) and if we get into shit our rich leagues club bails us out and lines their pockets... 100% i believe the idiots in charge of our club at the time were led up the wrong path by some sinister individuals and were to idiotic to realise.
You're totally right. The crazy thing is they were scrutinising the Woods, Foran and potential Tedesco deals before approving them as we had to prove we'd be under the cap. But how can they allow you to spend five times the cap in two years because you just backended the fuck out of everything? It defeats the purpose.

You should have to prove you're under the cap for every year that you have contacted players for.

If they were a real sporting organisation, they'd have everyone's salaries published so that fans and other teams knows exactly what everyone's cap situation is. That's the way it is in every other major sporting league but the corrupt NRL allows everything to be top secret so their pet teams like the Roosters can spend quadruple the cap and no one bats an eyelid.

More and more fans are leaving the code and for good reason.

I still can't fathom how Deano continually quotes Adam Elliott as being part of his senior players group. Not a senior player in my opinion.
Elliott would be a good politician. Loves to talk but never deliver.

How long did it take for him to drop Montoya ?? How long did it take him to drop Lichaa ?? Plus Lichaa still starts for us when Nu Brown is by far a better player !! Pay attention
And also has a bright up and comer with Zac Woolford. There is no reason for Lichaa to be in the team, the guys is a dud of a player yet Pay still backs him by bringing him back and starting.

I still can't fathom how with releasing as many players as we have (and many others off contract), we can be remotely close to the cap, even if we backloaded 70% of a players contract.

Something not making sense in all this.
A believable reason fed to the media (eg salary cap) buys the club time and gives the club an excuse to ask fans to be patient..

If the opposite played out we would all be at the clubs neck as to why things havent been done quickly

So pray tell... how do YOU know he's on ?? I know people that have played alongside him/his brother and still keep in contact with him.
It's been widely reported across a variety of public sources that he's earning $3M+ across his 3 year contract.

You're talking pure rubbish as per usual. You should know better after all the times you've come unstuck with your baseless claims and guesswork.
