An absolute champion of the game, will be so sad to see him go but I think it's the right choice.

17 years of first grade and likely to finish with most FG games ever, most games for Australia and highest capped QLD player ever as well.

The Broncos won't be the same without the great man leading us.

I can't wait to hear him commentating! If Tommy can get a gig as commentator, then Lockyer will be sweet as.

Remember his debut for Australia, dropped the ball like 5 times from kicks and pretty much gave NZ the game on a platter.

Always disliked him cos he ousted players I liked from their positions in rep teams, i.e took the number 6 jumper from Barrett for the Australian side when he made the switch from fullback to five eighth.

Should have retired from Rep football this year IMO and let others have a turn too.

With all that being said and done, there is no doubts he is one of the greats of our game and will be an immortal.
