MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC BULLDOGS RE-SIGN DALLAS MCILWAIN
The Mitsubishi Electric Bulldogs have agreed to a one-year contract with utility player Dallas McIlwain.
McIlwain, 23, came to the Bulldogs this season from the Brisbane Easts club after being recommended by Broncos veteran and former-Bulldog Darren Smith.
McIlwain will play his 10th first grade match tonight, ironically, against Smith who has been named on the Broncos bench.
Commenting on the signing, Bulldogs football manager Bradley Clyde said, “Dallas came to the Bulldogs this year with the hope of developing his game, but with our well-documented injury problems he was asked to step up to first grade and hasn’t looked back.
“His ability to fill a number of positions including lock or five-eighth means we hold him in high regard and he will only get better with every game that he plays.”
