From the first whistle of the game the boys looked switched on. Defence was very impressive, our attack still needs some work but definitely an improvement from last year.

But it was Crittas leadership that WAS VERY IMPRESSIVE constantly barking orders. One moment that stood out to me was when we were up 26 zip and I believe we took the ball out or we kicked the ball dead, i was sitting near the 30m line on the hill side, we lined up to defend and he was behind the line shouting at the boys making sure to aim up ( Im guessing thats what he was doing) while slowly walking back to his position.

3 games into his captaincy career and he's already showed more then what burton and Reed offered.

Hopefully its a sign of great things to come.

We've got a goodun. Won't be long till we see the extras of him scoring tries along with the leadership and airtight defence.

I had my reservations after the first 2 games but after hearing CC speak on how he was sending messages out to Critta but he was already on it, made me realise you don’t see a lot of stuff when watching on tv and don’t know all that is going on behind play etc. I mean, I know this from experience, just hadn’t thought about it in ages.

From all reports, his talk in backplay etc is really good, so hopefully he can build and grow into the role and become a good skipper.

You definitely don't catch a lot of what goes on behind plays watching on the tv. Watching the boys at the game I'll be honest it put a big smile on my face seeing Critta constantly barking orders, talking one on one with different players.

There was literally none of this last year.

We still have a lot of work to do with the team but i can sleep easy knowing we have a captain now that gives a fuck and will put a cracker up the players asses on the field.

I hate to imagine how the club would be going without Gus, how would we have dug ourselves out of the hole we are in. It's definitely good to see a bit of brown in the blue and white.

Biggest take away for me other then his barking orders to his players is his left hand side. Every time a kick went up in attack he led the left side with kiks and Tracey and Burton, he holds the left side accountable just watch the last 2 games and you’ll see it clearly. Also special mention to Burton his kicks out of our own half saves us heaps.

We watch Critta lift the Trophy in September. He is the player you build a side around . And I note that the clowns that were shitting on the signing and Gus are no where to be seen or herd.

I think just by the way he moves on the field he has a leadership presence.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see bizza here with his good mate critta before bizza’s contract ends at penrith. The riff have some serious talent in the lower grades most OB’s which wouldn’t be waiting to long for their chance and I highly doubt the riff want to lose them especially that young bloke Jesse mcLean I think his name is. They resigned him til the end of 2026 and promoted to the NRL squad in 2023.

He’s that good he has the Grand Final sewn up the previous month?? :-).

We all knew what a key signing he was. I admit I was concerned that despite his obvious talents that maybe too much expectation may have been being placed on his young shoulders too soon - but he’s showing those concerns were unfounded. All class.
