dude thats an awesome declaration. Unlike other countries who will keep going to score 550-700 each time, thats very dull.

This way it shows australia want to win the game and puts the onus on pakistan to make a game of it.

Agreed, we could have done an India and batted until we scored 700. Fail.

very negative to bat a team out of it within 2 days. People want to see a good contest, we know australia could have scored prob 1000 runs and still have wickets in hand. Its positive and it ensures a contest still.

i guess pakistan are very lucky that australia are kind and merciful

they are so good that the only way to make a match interesting is to give the opposition a chance

the television viewers should be the last thing ponting considers

ok the move was brave and aggresive, but they just gave away the clear lead of the match to settle for an average score

remember 520 was only just enough against the west indies
