All the best Corey in your future endeavours.

I've spoken to Corey before and for those who don't know Corey, he is actually a very high academic achiever. He's completing his Masters in Commerce (Specialised/Major in Finance), similar to Masters of Applied Finance elsewhere, he says he has a Distinction average with a few High Distinctions. For someone to be training full-time and with all his other commitments, achieving those marks is quiet remarkable. I'm sure the current opportunities that has presented itself to him is definitely something worth while especially if it is within an investment bank or a private equity fund. For those that work in the Finance industry will know that these opportunities don't come by often especially if you're a graduate or post-graduate student.

Again, wishing you all the best Corey.

Wow .... feeling a tinge of disappointment and a stack of pride.

I don't know what will become of it, but I know we're witnessing something special here with Corey.

A wealth of experience gone, who could forget him punching Jarryd Hayne in the head?
Wishing him all the best and hope he cleans up in his new endeavors.

I would like to thank you Corey, for the service you gave our great Club. You have brought distinction upon the Club and most importantly yourself. I hope that your future off the field will be a rewarding one and I wish you all the best. You are a true champion and I'm saddened you have made this decision to retire. Live Long and Prosper.

Gutted, may have had some discipline issues, but comes with mongrel, and what an off load. Will probably end up our CEO in the future!

Wait what? Who's going to be punching Hayne when we play the Eels this season :(

On a serious note, shame to see Corey retire.

Best wishes for him post football and many well done on a wonderful career.
Yep, agreed.

Too bad we didn't know this a few months back.

With the money freed up by Payne leaving, we could have had David Stagg coming off the bench in 2013.

This. I get the feeling we'll be seeing great things from Corey in the future. I'll miss his passion and mongrel on the field. His hit on Jarryd Hayne a couple of years ago which resulted in 4 players sent to the bin and the subsequent collapse of Parramatta remains one of my great Bulldog moments.

And how good would it be to play in a Grand Final for your last game?

Definitely a future administrator for the club if he chooses that path. Could do alot worse then use someone with his knowledge and passion for the team on the board.

By all reports he is a very bright young man. He had an opportunity to progress his tertiary education abroad and he took it. Gave up a 150 grand contract but can potentially be on several million pa in a few years. Very smart and unselfish individual. Has set himself up he has established a great profile and has branded himself well. He has a charity that helps the disadvantaged. Great person to have associated with the club. A mad man on the field and a gentleman off it.

Greenberg will nurture and mentor him. Only thing is 10 years down the track the dogs might be too small a challenge for him. He can be head hunted by major national and international firms.
