The refereeing is poor but we shoot ourselves in the foot with basic errors. If we hold the ball we still win that one regardless of the Refereeing.

Can't expect any team to have no errors. The difference tonight was the dodgy reffing.

If a team is superior to another, on the day, And win by a big margin there's very little a ref can do to stem the flow.

But if it's a close scoreline ref has a big say in the outcome of the game

Our game last year vs roosters that that **** sutton reffed.

Penalty for "throwing" the ball away before a scrum when our player got frustrated at the dropped ball and slammed the ball directly beneath him only for it to bounce away
There was another controversial call where roosters scored
And then the last call in the dying minutes where he called 6 again for us at their try line which magically changed to a turnover

Meh. Last time we played the roosters we got the rub of the green with a ref that everybody said hated us..... we lost and didn't score a point with 50+ tackles in their 20.

Refs definitely play a little part in the results with crucial calls etc, but it happens to every team, it may change results.. but you also have to make your own luck an come up with the right plays when it matters. We play good enough it shouldn’t matter what whistle blower is in charge to be honest.

Let’s up a thread whenever there is an obvious “stitch up” about to happen, and encourage all the Dogs fans to bet on the Opposition. Could call the threat “$utton Watch”.
This does 2 things...
1. It comes off you make a little cash.
2. More importantly- if it comes off and becomes a thing, the troll journos who spend time on this forum, will report it as a thing! They LOVE to put shit on the game, and as this would question the integrity of the NRL, it would be highly embarrassing for the NRL...... maybe then they wouldn’t be so fast to appoint Sutton to out matches or to Broncos matches.

Think about it. Why do we only talk about an 0-7 record under Sutton (is that correct?) at Suncorp AFTER the game. Why don’t the reporters highlight this as a story before the game.
The Reading the Play guy had Brisbane as his “specials” for the week! The record of the under Sutton at Suncorp would have played a huge part of his thinking.
Anyhoo today he’s laughing. And we’re still here crying into our beers.
