I just take my work skinny little HP laptop with me whenever I travel. I don't often want to play high-end game so it works perfectly for me lol. Playing classic games on a web browser is enough for me :grinning:
When I'm in hospital I take my laptop and play classic games on an emulator.

I'm talking about old school Sega and Nintendo games I grew up with.

PS when I get bored I just save and load so I can clock the game lol

Same here brother - although I never really played Nintendo growing up but played heaps of Master System games. LOVE THEM. Streets of Rage and Double Dragon are the best.

It's better on Mega Drive though, crazy hard on the Master System though - big down grade from the original SoR.
I was a spoilt **** and had nearly all the consoles. I wish I would of kept them....could of made some money now.

I reckon I missed out on a lot growing up because I never owned a Nintendo console apart from Game Boy. I know that there are plenty of gems on that console that didn't make the big time.

If we are to go pound for pound though, I reckon Sony PlayStation was the greatest console of all time at it's release in 1995.

I still have my mega drive and a heap of games.

I think with a service you can get the console working again?

Btw streets of rage 2 is in the collection!
One of the first games I owned on mega drive!

I still listen to the stage music for streets of rage.

There's a concert from 2018 on YouTube with Yuzo Koshiro sampling his masterpieces from Sega!

Check it out.
Just search Yuzo Koshiro

Playstation was revolutionary in the console market!
Sega beat Sony to the punch with a CD ROM extension!
Was called Sega CD.

I think they released it in 1992?
The CD extension converter was too expensive and so were the games, that's why it failed.

The guy who patented The Playstation pitched his idea to Nintendo first.

They said their consumers wouldn't like the idea of playing games on CD!

Truth is Nintendo like to target their games towards 4-12 year olds.
So discs are no good for that age bracket!

I once lent a Playstation game to a mate.
His sons put their grubby paws all over it!

The CD was awesome as you could fit much more data onto it that you can a cartridge, and also the sound quality was clearer. I think Nintendo chose to remain using cartridges in the late 90s when everyone else was moving over to CDs was because they had a loyal following that would buy their games regardless. However yeah it was pretty weird playing FIFA 98 on PlayStation which had awesome sound and commentary, then playing "International Superstar Soccer" on N64 which was inferior to FIFA 98 in every way possible.

I played fifa 98;on both N64 and PS.
Surprisingly Nintendo did a good job porting it to cartridge!
They even got the actual soundtrack on it.

but the gameplay was much better on PlayStation!

It was bad mate, I could barely understand the commentary on that game. I only ever played it once and it was against AI so I never played against anyone - and yeah it was annoying.

All my mates had PlayStation so that's why we mainly played FIFA.

I usually use coolrom.com bro

PS Megadrive is called Genesis if you're looking for it
Sweet so those sites still work?
Yeah I remember Sega mega drive was called genesis in North America.

There were 2 good emulators for Sega.
One you could use for all consoles and there was another that only worked for mega drive

I think I played it?
Definitely has to be the first ever rugby league game ever made?
EA made a good one in 1995 with all the ARL teams.
Only thing they didn’t have the license to use real player names so the player names were generic!
