SMH states that the Canterbury Bulldogs have poached the Veteran Wests Tigers recruiter Warren McDonnell!
Sounds good to me.... the Tigers have unearthed some remarkable talent over the past 10 years IMO however, I guess we will have the retractors as usual looking at the negative side of things.

If he works out, we could see the results of his work in about 5 years,

In my opinion, this is the one reason to think that this guy might have a good eye for spotting potential talent. If Teddy is the only local junior to fulfill his talent, it means that all the other talent like - Moses, Brooks, Woods, Simona etc must have been all recruited and brought to the club by this guy - that is of course if your statement of Teddy being the only Junior to fulfill his talent is correct of course. (Although if Moses is Benny Elias nephew, I thought he would be a local junior ... just saying...)

Much like Hoppa... the board and CEO bent over backwards to accommodate his No SUNDAY clause.

I dont know shit about this bloke but the Tigers have had some decent players coming through recently (Simona, Korobete, Moses, Brooks, the young kiwi hooker), so hopefully something to look forward to. Tigers retention seems to be the problem

Let's be honest tigers are calling for the heads of everyone if you look at their forum
They even want brooks gone lol

They keep missing the finals and the club is in shit shape financially

Look at it objectively
Recruitment manager job is to bring players in
Not manage the cap etc and sack players

They have been able to bag some great signings in the last two decades with him there

Keeping players has been an issue but if your on shakey ground financially and coaches coming and going etc it would be hard to keep anyone
