I agree with the first and second, the third however is an incomplete sentence, it should be "Labor party WIN/WINS the election because the voters are gullible and or stupid" : )"The crowd GOES wild" would be my pick, seeing as "CROWD" is a singular noun, even though it implies a multitude of people.
"The police RUN after the crooks" because "police" is a plural noun.
With the last one, both are correct. It depends on the context within which they are used.
