You don't even have to be an expert to see he a bad defender. Good on attack but HORRIBLE in defense.

People forget that Brenko is still only 21, the same as Montoya.

Everyone on here bangs on about blooding youngsters, but unfortunately that is the by-product of that.....errors.

Hopefully they both work hard on that in the offseason and come back bigger and better next year.

None of our players will improve while des is coach.

The kid does have a deficiency in defense but doesnt help when you have a rookie winger outside him as well and another poor defender inside him. Combined that leads to overlaps.
A proper coach would have fixed this deficiency but this is Hasler we are talking about. He could have swapped Morris boys around with either Montoya or.Lee but nope...
Lee and Montoya are both Rookies, they both have great attacking skills naturally. Defense can be fixed, you cant teach attack.
Morris boys were woeful on the other side, exact same mistakes in defense as well. But u guys want to be blind to that or make excuses for them

Lee is our best attacker and without looking up the stats sheet I'm sure he has the most try assist and tackle breaks..BUT

He is the worst in defense and that can be contributed to the fact he can't tackle and also for some reason there is always a 3 on 2 or 4 on 2 overlap so there is no communication in this team.


Haven't posted on here for a while just coz I never have anything good to say but man this is very heartbreaking to watch tbh.

We used not be able to score points but defend however, now we can't do both.[emoji45]

The logical thing is swapping Josh and Brenko. Brenko looked much more comfortable at the start of the year when he played alongside Brett. An experienced winger talking to a rookie centre in defence is invaluable

And it's not like the Morris combination has been productive to say we lose something breaking them up

Other option is Brett fullback, Hoppa centre and Brenko wing which would also be better attacking potential to what we have atm
