THESE Balmain boys will get more than $13,000 just for spending a weekend socialising with a complete stranger, after their bizarre auction on eBay went berserk yesterday.
As Confidential revealed last week, the four blokes are offering two days of "beer, snags and good conversation" to the highest bidder on the internet site.
They won't have any trouble buying the drinks and food - bidding yesterday reached a staggering $13,500 with three days still to go.
The boys - marketing reps Corey, Mark and Zac and law student Lachie - are in their mid-20s and all live together in Balmain.
Mark - who wouldn't offer his surname - said yesterday they had been stunned by the reaction to their out-of-the-ordinary scheme.
"When we sat down and came up with the idea we thought 'Wouldn't it be good if we got $200'," he said. "But it's just been crazy the way it's blown up."
The guys have even appointed one of their mates as their "media and security consultant" to deal with their sudden notoriety, which is set to gain even more legs with an appearance on the Today show on Friday.
They have also closely monitored the bids for the listing to ensure they are genuine.
Mark wouldn't comment on whether any of the four had girlfriends, saying it wasn't "relevant," and was also tight-lipped about the "international guest" they say will join them and the highest bidder for a weekend later this month.
"We can't confirm celebrity status but it is an international star from the UK," Mark assured us.
Your mates don't count, guys.
