Tbf, I reckon centre is Avo’s best position. He was pretty good at fb, but not totally convincing. I still would have preferred CC continued with him there, but he knows way more than me and obviously didn’t like something in his game, probably talk and involvement?

I’m not making an assumption I’m speaking from what Roger Fabri has said. He’d know. he’s coached the fastest players in the game and he gave up his accreditation just to coach Xerri.

And I'm speaking facts. 36km/h vs 34.5km/h. Big difference between sprint training and sprinting during an 80m game of footy.

Mate who knows what Avo’s best position is .. he’s never played in the one position long enough for us to find out .. the kids 23 & this right centre position is probably the longest he’s played in the same position .. and because he’s scored a few try’s again everyone say yep he’s a centre, don’t worry about the missed tackles or try’s he’s let in ..

Scored a few at FB last year, let in twice as many and some say, yep he’s a FB ..

What ever happened to assessing a players skill set & putting them in the position that best suits those skills & sticking with him & trusting him and coaching him to be the best he can be in that position ..

Defence was obviously not one of Averillo’s biggest skill sets so why make him a centre? … with a team struggling in spine positions why not put him at 6 where his defensive liabilities have a lot more cover around him and you can utilise his best skills in attack ?

Wayne Bennett will show us how stupid we are letting a young kid with speed & talent go because he’ll play him where his skills benefit the team most ..

Yea, sprint training is actually how fast you are.
NRL recorded speeds are dependent on many other factors.

Averillo's acceleration has always been his biggest strength. He can burn defenders easily.

I never did.. I was one of those we should grab him while stocks are low.

Meaney is a good player no doubt, so is Averillo who is probably better but probably part of a spine not the superstar in it.

I believe he is leading in try assists.
Not sure if it’s a good thing because most of those were for the opposition
