Are there off field issues hampering our performance?

If our current situation is compared to a standard day we are sitting at 8:30 pm and have to go through a LOOOOOONNNNNG night before we can experience the dawn of change. Its basically Des's roster and our spine is the worst in the league by a country mile. Add to that players we have signed to 2020 like Elliott, Lichaa, Tolman etc and its a bloody nightmare. 2021 cannot come fast enough for the dogs.

There is something that is happening.

Dean pay is a motherfucking idiot, and he won’t fucking let go of this jmk myth, this Elliot muppet and this fucking holland shit.

He’s a fucking moron, and the sooner we are him the better off we are. Sack him now, bring Dymock.

A losing team always suffers from moral issues. This is when a new coach proves if he's got what it takes,by holding the team together. It's going to get a lot worse,I'm afraid.
We got the Broncos,Eels and Sharks next few weeks and depending on results in other games we could be as much as 8-10pts outside the 8 and bottom 2,if not last.
It will be a long climb next year,if we finish bottom 3 this year.If people think that by just replacing the Morris boys and Eastwood next year,we are suddenly going to challenge for the comp, are in for another disappointing season.Everyone in our team needs to improve substantially for that to happen and I believe a few have reached their level of competence and any improvement will be minor.Other clubs will not stay idle and will also improve,as we are seeing this year.

You get the sense that we have too many systemic problems in ALL facets of the football department, the Hasler Court case, the white anting of the new Board and relationship with Peponis, and Dib still around on the NSWRL Board plus various side issues that impact the pressures on the coach to even contemplate another rookie coach. Maybe Madge? Cleary would have been ideal as an experienced, steady hand to bring in a full renewal of all operations but it didnt happen. Pay may find his feet but has until Round 12 you would think at the latest to sort some genuine improvement to build on. He hasn't looked too accomplished so far but it's a mammoth job trying to reset the malaise we have here.

Mr I just trying to keep his name around by stirring about behind the scenes.

How about this theory.

They’re too old and slow for first grade

Absolutely agree!

If we do not re-sign Morris bros, Mbye must slot in to left centre with JMK going to hooker. We than need to find a genuine 1, 6 & 7

We have Toomaga and Ogden, who are the future and who should slot straight onto the bench for Fualalo and Eastwood.

I honestly think we have a decent forward pack with Klemmer, Woods, RFM, Jackson, Tolman, Priest, Toomaga & Ogden, but its about getting the balance right.

We have Cogger coming across who is a rookie just like JMK and they need a couple of years, but as you know patience is a virtue.

It certainly does not help that Foran is broken and finished and we have a massive handicap in our spine.

Hoppa/Montoya combo certainly aint dangerous

Who do we sign who is off contract this year? I dont know.

Coote as a stop gap at FB?

Isaako to take over from Brett Morris?

Austin or Sezer for 5/8?

Who the fuck would take Foran?

Do we have any room in the cap? Who the fcuk knows
Hoppa/Montoya combo is okay in attack but poor in defence.

The only way to fix this side and get passion back in the Jersey is by bringing through Doggies juniors and getting hard on what is expected...it should always be a privilege to pull on a 1st grade bulldogs jersey, once any player stops believing that...they should be dropped, only %100 percent effort in every game is acceptable...nothing less!.
In all honesty the demographics of the Canterbury Bankstown area has changed so much over the last 30 yrs is our backyard the nursery it once was.

Fuck the players being happy. There definitely getting paid, there’s nothing to suggest they’re not. They’re a bunch of fkn princesses.
OMG you guys. We heralded Foran. Sure I agree we should of kept Graham and not gone for Woods. Problem is the cap. We were working on it being $10m not $9.4. NRL took too long to decide the cap and by then it was too late. Yes also we backended too many. Now cant afford to keep Eastwood or Morris boys going forward. The players we have have been handpicked by Des. It will take 4 years for Pay to get the players and the passion he wants. Des has fucked up too many heads.

Lets not forget the size of our forwards now compared to most other teams. Look at Penrith who boast, Yeo, Campbell Gillard, Fischer Harris, Kilau, Tamou, Merrin and other young guys.....then Broncos pack also. We are not a big pack and we play 1 out footy such then when our only 2 big guys Klemmer and Woods take the ball up its too well telegraphed they run without any support so they have 4 defenders waiting for them. Klem and Woods need to run with JMK and Mybe training them through so they can play just before the line on occasion. We are a work in progress. Des is gone but his style of play is now so ingrained it will take time. Lets not be so hard on our team.
