Any news on who our number 7 will be in 2024?

Guys, anyone know who we have as our playmaker next year. Or are they still deciding. Without rocking any boats, I still think they need to consider a 6 as well. If that works out, for the good of the team I think Burton should move out to where he excels - the centres. What do you guys think?

Burton excelled at centre for 3/4 of a season in a gun side. He played one good game and one ordinary game for NSW at centre.

He would be nowhere near as effective in the centres for us as what he was at Penrith.

I think they will persist with him this year at 6 and see how he goes. We can’t move him the centre given how much he is on and also the lack of quality halves around.

Sexton did enough to get first crack next year. Our attack looked ok with him in the side. It’s our defence that cost us the wins when Sexton played.

Then long term I guess we have to hope we can produce one from our pathways.

I think it’s up for grabs maybe they will decide after preseason starts and who best suits the job.
Could be sexton, taaffe or any of the new signings.

Competition for positions is good, last season the same players were picked week after week because there was no competition.
