I don't really see how based on current form.
Personally I have not been too critical of Des.
I agree the game plan is dated and the forwards handling the ball and throwing out the back to Mybe and Reynolds is too slow and to easily read by opposition defence.

However the diabolical form over the last six weeks didn't happen because of structure. The structure has been there all season.

The players have literally dropped the ball.
Thrown shit passes.
Missed one on one tackles.

Certain players, I'll name them again have played so shit it has been hard to believe:-

Mybe, Tolman, Williams, Browne, Fualolo & Holland.

Rona had a shocker against Brisbane.

Perrett not good against Cowboys.

I don't care what people say about Des-Ball (yes it is shit & outdated) the abysmal form of those 6 players is the reason why this season has turned to shit.

Maybe we're not fit enough.
The season is too long for some of our players.
The reduced interchange rule caught up with us.
The skill set in the squad isn't as high as other squads.

But to me those 6 have been passengers for 6 weeks now.
No way the team can carry that many players who are just not putting in an effort anywhere near their ability!!

Whatever has changed in the team at the back end of the season? I doubt it will be fixed in a week.

Hope I'm wrong. Mybe make me look like a goose, I beg you.

If we some how win the club we will celebrate and obvs be happy, but we kennelers live in the present and right now the club is on a down would spiral and you can't expect us to be sucking Des's dick.

It would require some tweaking to Des game plan and structures to give us any hope.

1/2. Des had a whole pre season to get his players into shape and fit for a long season.
3. Every other team has to also deal with the reduced interage rule and have adapted.
4. Des hired his girlfriend Cleal to scout for players and both have had 4 seasons to make sure our squad has enough talent to win the comp.

If those 6 players have been as bad as you say then why hasn't Des dropped atleast a few of them.

Mybe - Des signed him to new contract so he obvs likes him
Tolman - His is actually a good and reliable player but not when his at first receive and taking hitups in the opposition 10m .
Williams - It took Des 3 1/2 years to drop him.
Browne/Fualalo - L.Perrett has been killing it in reserve grade recently and should of got a crack instead of one of these 2.
Holland - Could easily been replaced by Philips or Montoya.
