Wow! Poor Trent. His kicks were pin point for Ross and now dumped for feeney. Maybe he could come back and coach our goal kickers

Umm he injured his knee in training earlier in the week.

CLUE 1
“There is no suggestion he has been rested although he is probably unlikely to play with the NSW Cup side this weekend,” one source said.
CLUE 2
He did not train with the NRL squad on Wednesday
CLUE 3
has struggled this season with a chronic knee injury that he has carried since his days at the Bulldogs.
CLUE 4
The club nursed the 28 year old through pre-season training in a bid to give him every chance of returning to his best in 2017 after he battled for most of last season.
But he appears to have lost even more speed and has noticeably left most of the on-field kicking responsibilities to teenage five-eighth Brock Lamb.
CLUE 5
“The problem is there is no suggestion his knee is going to get any better which is the frustrating part for him,” the source said.
And people honestly get paid to write this bullshit.

It is understood Hodkinson was pulled aside by Brown early in the week after a disappointing performance in the loss to the Sydney Roosters and told he would not be playing against the Cowboys.
You can quote sections of the article at will, so can I. Wouldn't be surprised either way. There is no doubting for a star signing his form is shit and Brown is more than happy to drop players underperforming. Will be interesting to see if his knee ever does come good again though, he has had some pretty expensive surgeries that haven't done any good as of yet.

So do you just pick and choose who to believe when you feel like it or....?

No... read the actual message with your 2 capable eyes.

He aggravated his knee at training and is being rested as a result.

Yeah but you are comparing two media reports, using one against the other... so you are believing one and rubbishing the other. There are reports thats hes been injured and there are also reports that say he has been flat out dropped due to defensive issues... You can't just say one is right and the other is wrong when we are using one against the other..

Brown made no mention of injury, quote from him talking to sky sports today. Although we do all know from his bulldog days his knees are farked.

"He's a touch down on confidence and we've got some other options we want to have a look at," Brown told Sky Sports Radio on Friday. Original article here

Poor Newcastle, they are confused....... "we have some other options we want to look at" ............ No you don't

Even playing on one leg Hodko is one of their best 2 or 3 players.

BS he was dropped. He has been their best and most consistent player all year.

Pretty hard to do anything behind a forward pack as bad as theirs and the worst backline in the comp.

Brown has no fucken idea.
He's just moving players around until something clicks.
I suppose you can do that when you're the shitest team in the comp. it's not like they could lose more games.

Bring him over mid season on incentives. Put him in the team as a lock or wherever. He can kick goals.

Why wouldn't they just say he was injured then? Doesn't make sense
