I believe this will happen because Taupau’s contract is back ended for 800,000 in 2022 and there were reports he can look elsewhere. Thus Des has to release him and we can pick up a chunk of it when we sack Elliot. Manly have soooo many forwards with bullemor on his way

So if we can pay no more than 400k ish.. you end up with front row of Vaughan, Tapau, Thompson, Ava, Pataulo, and hetherington if he doesnt play 2nd row... I can see this happening if we manage to release Thompson without paying anything/very little for him to play elsewhere.. if not I can only see us having one more minimum wage prop like say ogden

On what exactly? If Hetherington goes to an edge(and there is space for this to occur if Elliott is gone)we need another good hardrunning prop no? i know he isnt getting any younger but pending Patolo becoming a gun for one example he goes hard and is a leader of sorts.
