I can guarantee you we would have been a million dollar under the cap every year for last 4 years.

Who the fuck have we recruited really? we still have the fifita money , we still have that fullback money, we got hoppa for peanuts, we got rid of ennis, tank, trex (600ks!!), brown and rona.

Des is using our cap just like he uses our bench... to the minnimum

We have to be under the cap by a long way. My theory is that Des is spooked in the transfer marked because the nrl can screw him over again with 1 rule change. He invested in big forwards and then all of a sudden the interchange is reduced with no prior warning so you are stuck with ineffective players.

That is such an agest attitude , Frank is probably the strongest and most experienced he's ever been. Exactly what our team is lacking.

no Frank is not in top 5 issues for Des but once he becomes available for peanuts (supposedly) he should become our no.1 issue.

We had Frank and Trex , both left side specialists and we played Trex all these years on the right side , out of his usual position.

Before we had two for one position, now we dont have either of them.... BRILLIANT!

Also we have got rid of brown who only played 15 minutes max in a game, I can bet my left nut even in his old age and on his last legs, Frank is ten times a player Brown is and playing off the bench just like him for maximum of 15 minutes like brown.

If true , i am beyond done with this club.

Although I love the Beast Eastwood, I love him playing in the middle third and not the edge - He is not an edge defender. Picking up Frank for 150k if true would have been a masterstroke IMO, as he would have been the perfect mentor for his fellow country man Raymond Faitala-Mariner who is still a little green, and who Des won't give enough game time anyway. That would allow us to have better impact off the bench again with either Klemmer or Eastwood joining Kasiano, RFM or Tank, with maybe Garvey off the bench. (We know Des won't demote Tolman so its either Klemmer or Eastwood ).
If we cant land another, and if RFM has fixed up his defensive lapses and starts believing that he belongs, then he has to be our number 12, end of story. In fact he is our only left edge backrower option unless there is someone in NSW cup that I don't know about.

Exactly.... anything less than $500k a season for Frankie would be wrong I reckon.

I'd be thinking $600k a season, maybe $700k.

I wouldn't pay to much attention to our first match, we flogged Manly last year and looked really fit and were rolling up the field but that didn't last long.

it would be a backward step for us to sign him, we risk losing the younger forwards that we currently have.

This. It would be different if he was known for his work ethic, like a SBW, but he isnt. I could just imagine him, Kas and Beast turning into the three little pigs all over again.
